July Fishing Report – Jackson Hole Area Waters

Hopper season is here! The fish are finally looking up, and we’ve been getting plenty of eats on the surface. Dry fly action continues to improve as insect hatches become more frequent throughout the region.
Green River
The Green has been fishing exceptionally well, especially in the mornings and mid-afternoons. Golden Stones and Yellow Sallies have been hatching consistently. Start your day with a hopper-dropper setup, and once the dry fly action picks up, clip off the nymph and fish a single dry.

Fishing on the Salt has been excellent over the past few weeks. Water temperatures can warm up on the lower river during the afternoon, so starting early and finishing by mid-afternoon is your best strategy.
